Children’s Liturgy of the Word

Children's Liturgy of the Word is offered year-round during the 9:00 a.m. Mass on Sunday morning. It is geared towards children ages 4 through 8 (Pre-K4 through 2nd grade). After Opening Prayer, children are encouraged to follow the Prayer Leader to the meeting room where they hear the same Scripture readings as the rest of the assembly in words they can understand. Through a simplified main message of the readings they are taught to find the Presence of Jesus in their experiences and are encouraged to share that message with their parents after Mass. The children return to the sanctuary after the Creed.

All children are welcome and encouraged to attend.

Volunteers are needed to teach the lessons each week, as well as to assist with the supervision of the children. This is a great opportunity for adults and high school youth to help these eager youngsters learn the Word of the Lord.
